This Vauxhall Insignia turbo was leaking oil at the back end , this was showing as excessive smoke from the exhaust.

An inspection of the internals showed the turbine shaft to be coloured blue, the turbo was getting too hot due to a restriction of oil to the bearings.

Once the turbo was repaired we advised the customer to replace the turbo oil feed pipe so that the turbo has a good supply of oil.
